Creating eruptions

Still image for this video
As apart of our Misty Mountain's topic this term, we researched the different types of mountains that exist in the world. We were extremely interested by volcanoes - especially when they erupt! Because of this, we decided to create some volcanoes out of paper mache and staged an eruption using baking soda, washing up, food colouring and vinegar! Here is one of the volcanoes that we created and erupted in school. Children at home were also able to create volcanoes and erupt them at home with their families.

As apart of our 'I am warrior' Topic, we researched and designed our own roman clay pots! Here are some pictures of our creations.

Whilst researching important events about the Roman's invasion of Britain, we studied Boudicca - a fierce Celtic leader. Here are some of our wonderful Biographies about her.

Hello all and welcome to 4LF's Class Page!

We are officially back at school and ready to learn! Our Autumn 1 topic this year is 'I am Warrior'. We will be taking a closer look at what life was like for a Roman Solider invading Britain - please see our curriculum map on the Year 4 page to look at what we will be getting up to this term. I will be populating this page with photos of our amazing work throughout the year so stay tuned!

In 4LF we have PE every Tuesday and Friday.

Pupils will need to come to school in their full PE Kit instead of uniform for the days above.

Every week we will be tracking the children's reading at home. Each time they read they will move up our Jungle path in 4LF's Reading Den. If they read 4 or more times at home, independently or with an adult, they will reach the top of the path and will receive a special prize at the end of the week. I'm sure I will have lots of prizes to give out each week!

As always, please come and speak to me if you have any questions or concerns about any aspect of your child's education or welfare.

Thanks for your continued support,

Miss Fayers :)
