Breakfast Club

Our Breakfast Clubs runs every morning from 7.40am-8.30am (pupils will not be admitted after 8.15am), Monday to Friday, during term time only for all pupils from Nursery to Year 6. This service will be available to Nursery children from September 2024.

Our lovely staff Mrs Stothard and Mrs Hales help to run this service.

Pre-booking and payment in advance is required for all bookings. You can do this via the Teachers2Parents app.

Please email us at admin@poplarsprimary.org.uk if you have any questions or cannot access the booking and payment app.

After School Club

We are delighted to offer you the opportunity of using our After School Club wraparound care. This runs every day, Monday to Friday from 3pm-4.30pm, during term time only for all pupils from Nursery to Year 6.

Our very experienced Mrs Hales runs this club with the support of other staff members each day.

There are a variety of activities for the children to do each week including crafts, music, games and films. The children are provided with a  snack and drink.

We offer 2 sessions to choose from each day.

3pm-4pm = £3.50 per child, per day

3pm-4.30pm = £5 per child, per day

These sessions MUST be booked and paid for in advance as we have a limited number of spaces each day.

To make a booking and pay please use the Teachers2Parents app or you can email us at: admin@poplarsprimary.org.uk

Curriculum Enhancements

At Poplars we are committed to providing our children with the highest quality education; academic, technical and vocational. We have put together a broad range of after school activities to further enhance the education of our children.

There are clubs available to children from Reception – Year 6. All clubs run from 3.15pm – 4.15pm.

Letters will be sent home with pupils for each club and the slips need to be returned ASAP (or by the date on the individual letters) for any clubs your child wishes to attend. Places are offered on a first come, first served basis as each club will have a limit on numbers.

Those successful in gaining a place will receive a text via Teachers2Parents – do not assume that applying means your child has a place, please wait for the confirmation text. Whilst we will be heavily subsidising the cost of the clubs, all clubs have a small charge of £1 per session, payable in advance on Teachers2Parents, using the SchoolMoney section. It MUST be paid BEFORE the club starts.

We ask that if a club is signed up for, that there is a commitment to attend for the duration of the club as we are unable to offer places on a week-to-week basis or any refunds. The clubs will run half termly.
