World book day

World book day 1

Dear Parents/carers

Thank you for attending the picnic this Friday. It was really lovely to meet so many of you.

We have had a fantastic start to this term. Your children are so lovely and polite. They are all working really hard already and getting in to the new routines.

I thought I could take this opportunity to clarify some of the routines:

Drop off

When you drop your child off in the morning we have a snack and lunch chart outside the classroom where you can choose what snack and lunch your child would like for the day. The menu is placed in the window by the door. The snack is 40p/day and lunch is free for Year1.

It is important that the reading- and reading record books come to school everyday with your child. When your child has read, and that can be anything they have read: their book (min 3 times per week) or on the back of a cereal box or other stories/ comics etc., please write/sign in their reading record book. When they have read 3 times/ week they get a sticker on their bookmark and when the bookmark is full they get to chooses a book that they can take home.

We have designated PE lessons on Mondays and Tuesdays but we might have more some weeks so it is advised to leave the PE kit on their peg all week.

Pick up

If your child is being picked up by someone else  please let us know in the morning or phone the office. We will not let any child leave with anyone that is not okayed by you.

Name labelling

Please make sure you put your child's name in all their clothes. This will make it so much easier for both your child and us to make sure that their clothes find their way back at the end of the day.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to talk to me.

Kind regards

Mrs Pratt
